Plaintiff, 20 years old and unemployed, was a guest in defendant’s home. The men had been looking at the gun and were passing it around, when it went off. Plaintiff sustained spinal cord injuries causing paraplegia, is employable and lives at home.

Plaintiff ejected after the vehicle’s drunk driver lost control of the vehicle, traveling at a high rate of speed, and left the roadway causing the SUV to roll multiple times causing multiple, serious injuries.

Edward R. Young brought a motion for summary judgment on this issue of liability and won. Mr. Young moved for, and was granted, a Frye motion, to prove seat belt non-use by a reclined passenger, putting the burden of liability on defendant.

Plaintiff was a passenger in a vehicle driven by her husband, when a truck, loaded with pineapples, crossed over the center line and hit their vehicle head­ on. The wife sustained a crush injury to her left knee and foot; her husband, unfortunately, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Edward R. Young argued and won a motion to keep the case in New York.

Infant Plaintiff was struck, while a pedestrian. As she lay in the road, she was struck by three different vehicles. She sustained a coma, multiple fractures and scarring.

Edward R. Young won a motion in liminee to preclude alcohol issue at voir dire and won. Defendant’s motion for summary judgment was denied.
